Your vehicle is a valuable asset and a trusted part of your daily life. As the weather warms up and spring arrives in North Texas, one of the biggest dangers to your car’s paint job will be the abundance of pollen swirling through the atmosphere wreaking havoc on your allergies as well as your car’s exterior. Maintain your vehicle during allergy season and avoid scratches with a regular professional wash from Snap Clean Car Wash. Our three DFW area locations can help you maintain your vehicle’s value for years to come with these essential steps.
Prepping. Prepping is key to safely removing dirt, dust and pollen without causing damage to your paint job. Prepping begins the process of loosening contaminants adhered to your paint job by applying a light detergent and water to your car before you enter the tunnel. Once you’re inside, our state-of-the-art tunnel goes to work on a lightly cleaned surface. Note that if you have been off-roading and mud has hardened to the surface of your car, a little extra prep work may be needed to get your car clean. If that’s the case, we recommend you loosen the dirt with an extra rinse before you come to Snap Clean. Removing the mud will allow our system to perform better and keep the tunnel running safely and effectively for ALL our customers.
Powerful chemistry. Once the prep-work is done and you’re in our tunnel wash, the system goes to work to effectively apply our powerful detergents and shine agents to make your car look fantastic. Choosing the right chemicals that work together to give you the beautiful shine you expect is part of our job. We are constantly working to calibrate our chemicals and ensure they perform optimally. The right combination provides the great results you’re looking for. Note that the higher washes will offer the softest feel when your wash is complete.
Soft-touch technology. Our tunnel wash is equipped with soft-touch brushes that gently apply our state-of-the-art chemicals and detergents to the surface of your vehicle without risk of damage to the paint job. Prepping to remove the majority of surface residue means the brushes and detergents can do the work they are meant to do. Our soft-touch brushes are not meant to remove mud from your overland trip to Colorado. They’re meant to give your paint job an incredible shine without risk of scratching or damaging your paint. We work to keep our soft-touch brushes clean so that the only thing that goes on your car’s paint job is a high-quality chemical applied with a gentle and effective brush.
A protective finish. Wax and shine agents are the final step to protecting your car from the harmful effects of pollen. By adding a finishing wax at the end of the wash cycle, we provide your paint job with a protective layer than shields it from pollen particles which can break down the paint job or scratch if removed improperly. Every wash ends with our sealer wax to protect your vehicle between washes. Think of a wax like a moisturizer you would apply to your face after washing. That protective step keeps your “skin” – in this case your car’s paint job – from fading or getting scratched between wash cycles. It’s not going to keep your car protected from contaminants that are left on the paint job for months at a time, but if you wash and wax regularly, your vehicle should retain a nice shine and the paint should feel somewhat soft to the touch.
