Fall is HERE! High school football is rolling (Go Lions!), the heat has eased up and we're all clutching our PSLs and cardigans. Okay, so the cool temps aren't completely on board, but at least we aren't sweltering.
In honor of the first forray into fallish weather, here are our top five fall car care must-dos!
5. Tire pressure! You know it's fall when you jump in your car for your morning commute and the low pressure indicator lights up! Air pressure in a tire decreases by a pound or two for every 10 degrees of temperature change. For the most accurate reading, check your tire pressure first thing in the morning which is the coolest part of the day.
4. Check all your vehicle lights. Cooler days mean longer nights that start earlier. Ensure all your exterior lights are in working order and recondition lights that have fogged up or yellowed with age. That hazey appearance limits the amount of light actually coming through from your headlights which isn't safe! You can get a headlight restoration kit on Amazonfor around $20.
3. Replace your wiper blades! Be ready for a chilly rain with new wipers. It takes less than 10 minutes to change them. Have you ever seen the rubber from your wiper blades gradually come off during a downpour? It's not pretty. Keep your windshield scratch free with a new set! We like Bosch wiper blades. You'll feel fancy every time you flip your wipers on, which seems to be frequent this month and more to come!
2. Battery power test. Swing by a parts store and have your battery checked. Don’t get stranded! Make sure you do this before you head out for a road trip or hit up a tailgate party.
1. Clean car, happy car. Once you’ve ensured that everything is is working order, don't forget to swing by Snap Clean to get the best shine for fall road trips, tailgate parties and holiday events! No matter what you drive, even if it's a clunker, it always feels better to drive a CLEAN car.
